2003: Finished the season with a career-high five home runs. Connected on four of those home runs in the team's final seven games. Blasted two home runs in a game against TCU (5/9). Had a .318 average in all games. Finished second on the team with a .348 average in C-USA games. 23 of his 34 hits came against C-USA foes. Had nine multiple-hit games and four multiple RBI games, including a career-high four against TCU (5/9).
2002: Named Honorable Mention Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America. Finished second on the team with a .336 batting average. His .336 average is the fourth highest by a freshman in the program's history. Collected a hit in 29 games with 11 multi-hit games including three three-hit games. Also made six pitching appearances with starts against Virginia Tech (4/2) and North Carolina (4/9). Had 11 games with at least one RBI with five multi-RBI games. Enjoyed arguably his best game of the season against Virginia (3/10) when he hit his first career home run. In that game he scored twice, knocked in three runs and had three hits. Against Southern Miss (4/7), he hit a double and a triple. Led off all three games in the Cincinnati series with a base hit.
